What is the difference with omega 3 from algae?

This omega 3 comes from anchovy fish oil. Omega 3 from algae is plant-based and therefore suitable for vegans, like the omega 3 from Together and Vegums in our range. These softgels are not vegan, because the softgel is made of bovine gelatine.

How and when do you take it?

One softgel a day with a glass of water, preferably during or right after a meal. Omega 3 is a fatty acid and is absorbed better when your meal contains some fat.

What about mercury in fish oil?

The crude oil is purified and laboratory-tested for heavy metals, including mercury. The final product meets European quality and safety standards.

What should you keep in mind?

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, consult your doctor before taking a supplement. A supplement complements your diet and does not replace a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake and keep it out of reach of children.

What are EPA and DHA?

EPA and DHA are omega 3 fatty acids. Your body barely makes them itself, so you get them from your diet, mainly from oily fish. EPA and DHA contribute to the normal function of the heart, with a daily intake of 250 mg EPA and DHA. DHA contributes to the maintenance of normal brain function and normal vision, with a daily intake of 250 mg DHA. One softgel is well above that.
