What are CBG crystals?

CBG stands for cannabigerol, like CBD a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in the hemp plant. In crystal form (CBG isolate) it is the purest form of CBG: more than 99% pure, without other compounds. That is different from CBG oil, which also contains other cannabinoids. CBG is not psychoactive. In the plant it is a building block that is converted into THC and CBD during growth; special varieties do this more slowly and are used for production. Cold CO2 extraction and filtration leave the pure extract.

• Without taste or smell.
• Because of the high concentration you only need a small amount.

How do you use CBG crystals?

The simplest way is under your tongue: place a measured amount under your tongue and let it sit for about a minute, so it is absorbed through the mucous membranes. You can also mix CBG isolate into a drink (dissolving it in warm water or a smoothie for instance), or make your own oil from it, just as with CBD crystals.

What does CBG do?

We may not make any statements about that. No health claims have been approved for CBG in the European Union, and the research is still in its infancy. We tell you what CBG is, how pure it is and how you dose it. What you do with it is up to you.

What is the difference between CBG crystals and CBG oil?

Crystals are more than 99% pure CBG, nothing else. CBG oil also contains other cannabinoids such as CBD, CBN and CBC, plus a fraction of THC below 0.05%. With crystals you set the dose yourself and you take in no THC.

Is there THC in CBG crystals?

No. With isolate all the other compounds have been filtered out, including THC.

Do you need a scale?

Yes, one that is accurate to the milligram. Every milligram of crystal is a milligram of CBG. If you would rather not have that fuss, CBG oil is more practical.

Can you make your own oil from CBG crystals?

You can, just as with CBD crystals: dissolve a measured amount in a carrier oil such as MCT or hemp seed oil. Keep the oil below 170 °C.

Who is better off not using CBG?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use it. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Also read CBD and medicines.
