What is CBC oil?

CBC stands for cannabichromene. Like CBD and CBG, CBC is a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in the hemp plant. CBC is non-psychoactive, so it does not get you ‘high’. Our CBC oil is full spectrum: alongside CBC it also contains other natural cannabinoids such as CBD, CBG and CBN, plus a fraction of THC (always less than 0.05%). That makes the oil legal in the Netherlands and the rest of the EU.

CBC and the difference from CBD

Because our CBC oil is full spectrum, the cannabinoids are taken together and complement one another; that is called the entourage effect. Research into CBC is still in its infancy. Anyone who wants to look beyond CBD alone will find CBC an interesting addition.

How do you dose CBC oil?

You take CBC oil by putting drops under your tongue and letting it sit there for about a minute before you swallow. That way it is absorbed through the mucous membranes. One drop of our 5% CBC oil contains about 2 mg of CBC. Start calmly with a low dose and build up to an amount that suits you; the number of mg per drop is in the product information.

Frequently asked questions about CBC oil

What does CBC oil do?

We may not make any statements about that. No health claims have been approved for CBC in the European Union, and research into CBC is still in its infancy. That is exactly why you hear little about it. We tell you what CBC is and how you dose it. The rest is up to you.

What is the difference between CBD and CBC?

Both are cannabinoids from the hemp plant and neither is psychoactive. CBC occurs in most plants in much smaller amounts than CBD, and considerably less research has been done into it. Our CBC oil is full spectrum, so alongside CBC it also contains CBD, CBG and CBN.

Does CBC get you high?

No, CBC is not psychoactive. The fraction of THC in our full spectrum oil stays below 0.05%.

How many drops of CBC oil do you take?

One drop of our 5% oil contains about 2 mg of CBC. Start calmly with a low dose and build up to an amount that suits you. The number of mg per drop is stated with every product.

Why is CBC so little known?

Because there is little of it in the plant and little research has been done into it. CBD got the attention, CBC lagged behind. We carry it for anyone who wants to look beyond CBD alone, and we are honest that we can say little hard about it.

Who is better off not using CBC oil?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use it. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Also read CBD and medicines.
