What are CBD crystals?

CBD (cannabidiol) is best known in the form of CBD oil. In crystal form it is the purest form: our CBD crystals are around 99% pure, without other compounds. Full spectrum oil always contains a fraction of THC (less than 0.05%). Some people would rather take in no THC at all, because of their work or a sensitivity. With CBD isolate all the other compounds, including THC, have been filtered out, so only pure CBD remains. Every batch is independently tested.

How do you dose CBD crystals?

Because the crystals consist of pure CBD, dosing is easy: every milligram of crystal is a milligram of CBD. Unlike with capsules or edibles you measure the amount yourself, so a kitchen scale accurate to the milligram is handy. Start, certainly the first time, with less than 10 mg. Do you already know how your body responds? Then set your dose as you like.

How do you use CBD crystals?

The crystals have no taste or smell. The simplest way is under your tongue: place a measured amount under your tongue and let it dissolve in about a minute to a minute and a half. You can also dissolve the crystals in a drink such as coffee, tea or water, or work them into cooking and baking. Do not heat the CBD above 170 °C, or it will evaporate.

What does CBD do?

We may not make any statements about that. No health claims have been approved for CBD in the European Union. If you come across a webshop that lists exactly what CBD would reduce, that webshop is overstepping the mark. We tell you what it is, how pure it is and how you dose it. The rest is up to you.

What is the difference between crystals and CBD oil?

Crystals are around 99% pure CBD, nothing else. Full spectrum oil also contains other cannabinoids, terpenes and a fraction of THC below 0.05%. With crystals you set your own dose and form; with oil that has already been done for you.

Is there THC in CBD crystals?

No. With isolate all the other compounds have been filtered out, including THC. If you definitely do not want to take in THC, because of your work for instance, this is alongside broad spectrum the most certain form. We can never guarantee a test result, though.

Do you need a scale?

Yes, and one that is accurate to the milligram. Every milligram of crystal is a milligram of CBD, so the maths is easy, but you have to measure it yourself. If you would rather not have that fuss, choose CBD oil or capsules.

Can you make your own CBD oil from crystals?

You can. Dissolve a measured amount in a carrier oil, MCT or hemp seed oil for instance, and work out how many mg you want per millilitre. Do not heat CBD above 170 °C, because then it evaporates.

Who is better off not using CBD?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use it. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Also read CBD and medicines.
