What is CBD cream?

CBD cream is a nourishing cream containing CBD. CBD (cannabidiol) is a non-psychoactive compound from hemp. You apply the cream locally to the skin. Alongside CBD, our skin products contain caring ingredients such as hemp seed oil, vitamin E and essential oils, which nourish and hydrate the skin. A pleasant alternative if you do not like the taste of CBD oil.

Besides cream you will find a broad range of skin products with CBD at Dutch Balance: ointments, balms and oils. Every product has its own composition and use, from daily care to products for a specific skin need. All products contain full spectrum CBD.

CBD face cream

CBD face cream is developed for the sensitive skin of the face. Alongside CBD, face cream contains hemp seed oil and essential oils that nourish the skin. Besides a nourishing face cream you will also find balancing variants, for oilier skin for instance.

Frequently asked questions about CBD cream and skincare

What does CBD do on your skin?

About CBD itself we may not make any statements: no claims have been approved for it in the European Union. What we can say is what a cream does that every good cream does: nourish and hydrate. Our products contain ingredients for that, such as hemp seed oil and vitamin E. Suppliers who tell you that CBD on your skin helps against something are overstepping the mark.

Does CBD cream get you high?

No. CBD is not psychoactive, and you only apply it locally to your skin anyway.

What is the difference between cream, ointment and balm?

Mainly the texture and how long it stays on the skin. A cream absorbs faster, an ointment or balm is greasier and stays on longer. Which is more pleasant depends on your skin and on where you use it. Every product page states the composition.

Can I use CBD cream on my face?

We have separate face creams for that, matched to the more sensitive skin of your face. There are balancing variants too, for oilier skin for instance. It is better not to use body cream on your face as a matter of course.

Can you combine it with CBD oil?

You can, they do not get in each other’s way: you work the cream into your skin, the oil you take. Do start with one thing at a time.

What should I watch out for with sensitive skin?

Test a new product on a small patch of skin first, in the crook of your elbow for instance, and wait a day. Our skin products are cruelty-free and lab tested, but every skin responds differently.
