What is CBD paste?
CBD paste is what remains after cold CO2 extraction of the hemp plant. Our paste contains 50% CBD, plus the full spectrum of compounds from the plant, such as CBG, CBN, CBC, terpenes and a fraction of THC (less than 0.05%). No carrier oil has been added. We carry the full spectrum CBD paste from Dutch Hemp in three sizes. All three are 50% CBD, so 500 mg of CBD per millilitre:- 5 ml with 2,500 mg CBD
- 10 ml with 5,000 mg CBD
- 15 ml with 7,500 mg CBD
Paste or oil?
CBD paste and full spectrum CBD oil contain the same compounds. The difference is in the concentration and the taste: paste is more concentrated (no carrier oil has been added) and has a pure, herbal taste, while oil tastes milder and is easier to dose in drops. Which you find nicer is personal; many people try both. Per milligram of CBD, paste is often better value.How do you use CBD paste?
You take paste just like oil: let a measured amount sit under your tongue for about a minute before you swallow. The syringe packaging makes dosing easy; keep to about the size of a grain of rice at a time, or use a small scale. What does CBD paste do?
We may not make any statements about that. No health claims have been approved for CBD in the European Union. Paste is a more concentrated form than oil, not a different promise. We tell you what is in it and how you dose it.
How much CBD is in CBD paste?
Our paste is 50% CBD: 500 mg per millilitre. The 5 ml syringe contains 2,500 mg CBD, the 10 ml one 5,000 mg and the 15 ml one 7,500 mg.
Is CBD paste full spectrum?
Yes. Besides CBD, our paste also contains other compounds from the plant, such as CBG, CBN, CBC and terpenes, and a fraction of THC below 0.05%. If you want to be sure of no THC, have a look at CBD crystals or broad spectrum CBD oil.
What is the difference between paste and oil?
The same compounds, a different concentration. With paste no carrier oil has been added, so it is more concentrated (50% CBD) and it tastes pure and herbal. Oil is milder in taste and easier to dose in drops. Per milligram of CBD, paste is often better value.
How do you dose paste?
About the size of a grain of rice at a time, under your tongue, left to sit for about a minute before you swallow. The syringe packaging makes dosing easier. If you want to know exactly, use a small scale. Start calmly and build up.
Is paste suitable if you are just starting?
Better not. At such a high concentration, a little more is immediately a big step. If you are just starting, 5% oil makes it a good deal easier to find your own dose.
Can you make your own oil from paste?
You can, and that is even what paste was originally meant for: you mix it with a carrier oil. Work out how many mg you want per millilitre and keep it below 170 °C.
Who is better off not using it?
If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use it. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Also read CBD and medicines.
