What are CBD edibles?

CBD edibles are foods containing cannabidiol (CBD). CBD is obtained from hemp and is not psychoactive, so it does not get you ‘high’. CBD is usually taken as an oil under the tongue, but not everyone likes that taste. Edibles are then a tasty alternative. You will notice that edibles take a little longer to be absorbed than CBD oil, because the CBD goes through the digestive tract instead of straight into the mouth.

Edibles with CBD, not with THC

The word “edibles” is often used for foods containing THC, the compound that gets you high. We do not sell those. Our edibles contain CBD, which is not psychoactive and is simply legal. A full spectrum product contains at most a fraction of THC, always below the legal 0.05%, and that is too little for any intoxicating effect. If you are looking for THC edibles, you are in the wrong place with us.

CBD gummies

A popular edible are the CBD gummies: sweet treats with fruit flavours such as raspberry and apple-lemon, with a fixed dose of full spectrum CBD. You take them like any sweet: chew and swallow.

CBD hemp seed oil

You use CBD hemp seed oil like olive or sunflower oil: through a salad or on bread, and you can also use it on the skin. Besides CBD, hemp seed oil contains vitamins, minerals and amino acids.

Frequently asked questions about CBD edibles

What do CBD edibles do?

We may not make any statements about that. No health claims have been approved for CBD in the European Union. What makes an edible different from oil is the form and the taste, not a different promise. We tell you what is in it and how much. The rest is up to you.

How long does it take for CBD from an edible to be absorbed?

Longer than with oil under the tongue. An edible goes through your digestive tract, so allow about 30 to 90 minutes before the CBD is absorbed, depending on how full your stomach is. With oil under the tongue part of it goes through the mucous membranes and that is faster.

How much CBD is in an edible?

That differs per product and is stated on the packaging. Our gummies contain 25 mg of CBD each, for instance. With oil you set the dose yourself, with an edible it is fixed.

Do CBD edibles get you high?

No. CBD is not psychoactive. Full spectrum products contain a fraction of THC below 0.05%, too little for any intoxicating effect. Broad spectrum contains no THC at all.

What can you do with CBD hemp seed oil?

You use hemp seed oil like olive or sunflower oil: through a salad or on bread. Do not heat it, because CBD evaporates above 170 °C.

Who is better off not using them?

If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use them. If you take medication, consult your doctor or pharmacist first. Also read CBD and medicines.
