What do the approved claims say?
Calcium is needed for the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D, vitamin K and magnesium contribute to the maintenance of normal bones. Vitamin D also contributes to the normal absorption and utilisation of calcium and phosphorus. Those are the wordings from the European register. We may not say more, and a supplement does not replace a varied diet.
Frequently asked questions
Why vitamin D and K2 together?
They each have their own approved claim for normal bones, and vitamin D contributes to the absorption of calcium. That is why they are often combined in one product. Vitamin K2 dissolves in fat, like vitamin D, so take them with a meal.
Bone Aid or separate products?
Bone Aid is handy if you want all four in one product. Separate products are better if you already get one nutrient from your diet, for example calcium from dairy.
Can I take vitamin K if I use blood thinners?
Talk to your doctor first. Vitamin K plays a role in blood clotting.
