Magnesium is one of those minerals many people are consciously thinking about these days. This supplement is there for anyone who wants to top up their magnesium intake. According to the manufacturer’s label, each capsule contains 198 milligrams of magnesium, 53% of the reference intake, extracted from mineral-rich seawater. A pouch contains 30 capsules.
What does magnesium do?
Magnesium contributes to normal muscle function, to a normal energy-yielding metabolism, to the normal functioning of the nervous system, and to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue. Those are the EU-approved claims. Naturally, magnesium is found in nuts, seeds, pulses and dark green leafy vegetables.
Where it comes from
Together comes from the United Kingdom and is one of the brands we have carried for years. Everything is vegan and made in the UK to strict standards, including GMP, with plant-based capsules (HPMC) and without artificial additives. Instead of a plastic jar it comes in a resealable pouch, a choice that fits their sustainable line.
How do you use it?
Take 1 capsule daily with water. Some people prefer to take magnesium in the evening as part of their routine, but the timing is not critical. One capsule a day stays below the 250 milligrams that the Netherlands Nutrition Centre uses as the upper level for magnesium from supplements; above that, bowel complaints can occur. How much magnesium you need per day, when to take it and which side effects there are is in
