Lutein is a natural pigment from marigolds (Tagetes erecta) that also occurs naturally in the macula of the retina. It is widely used in eye formulas, but no specific health claim has been approved for it within the EU.

Can I combine this with other supplements?

Usually yes, but take care not to end up doubling up on vitamin A if you also take a multivitamin. Vitamin A is fat-soluble and accumulates, so stick to the recommended amount.

Who is this supplement not suitable for?

Because of the vitamin A, this supplement is not intended for pregnant women without consulting a doctor, since a high intake of vitamin A during pregnancy is not advised. If you take medication, consult your doctor. Keep the jar out of reach of children.
