What is the difference between glycinate and other forms?

In magnesium glycinate the mineral is bound to the amino acid glycine. This form is well absorbed and gentle on the stomach. Cheaper forms such as magnesium oxide contain more magnesium per gram, but are less well tolerated.

How much do you take per day and when?

Why does it say 800 mg when it contains 160 mg of magnesium?

800 mg is the weight of the whole compound, magnesium glycinate. 20% of that is pure magnesium, so 160 mg per capsule. That elemental magnesium is the figure to compare.

What should you keep in mind?

If you are pregnant, breastfeeding or taking medication, consult your doctor before taking a supplement. A supplement complements your diet and does not replace a varied diet. Do not exceed the recommended daily intake and keep it out of reach of children.
