Product information

Reviews
A glossy coat and healthy skin, that is what this Skin & Coat variant is about. A herbal blend with rosemary, nettle and horsetail, among others, in a soft duck treat, from the Dutch herbal brand Jacob Hooy.

What are these treats?

Healthy Dog Skin & Coat are complete meat treats for dogs with 50% duck as the base, supplemented with plant-based by-products in the form of a herbal blend, plus oils and fats. The treats are soft in texture and therefore suitable for dogs of various ages, with the exception of puppies younger than 4 months.

The herbal blend

The herbal blend contains rosemary (Rosmarinus officinalis), nettle leaf (Urtica dioica), horsetail (Equisetum arvense), birch leaf (Betula pendula) and chamomile (Matricaria chamomilla). These are traditional herbs within European herbal medicine, where they are often used around skin and coat. Horsetail is naturally rich in silicon, nettle leaf naturally contains minerals, and chamomile is a classic herb around the care theme. The positioning around Skin & Coat is aligned with that tradition. Within the regulations for animal feed, no specific medical claims are attributed to these herbs.

How do you give them?

The amount depends on your dog’s weight:
  • Dog up to 10 kg: 2 treats per day
  • Dog 10 to 20 kg: 4 treats per day
  • Dog heavier than 20 kg: 6 treats per day
You can give them as a reward or as an addition to the daily meal. With a sensitive dog, start the first few days with half the recommended amount so you can assess tolerance. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
