CBG is sometimes called the mother cannabinoid, because CBD and THC develop from CBG within the plant. This full spectrum CBG oil from our own brand Dutch Balance contains 1000 mg of CBG per 10 ml bottle, around 4 mg per drop. Produced in the Netherlands, with the emphasis on quality rather than marketing.
What is CBG oil?
CBG, in full cannabigerol, is a cannabinoid that occurs naturally in hemp. In young plants CBGA, the acid form of CBG, is abundantly present and forms the building block for most other cannabinoids. As the plant matures, CBGA converts into CBDA and THCA among others, leaving relatively little CBG in mature plants. For this oil CBG is concentrated, alongside the other cannabinoids from the full spectrum. CBG is non-psychoactive.
Quality and origin
The hemp for this oil is grown organically in the EU, without pesticides or herbicides. The cannabinoids are extracted using cold CO₂ extraction, without chemical solvents, so the cannabinoid profile stays as intact as possible. Production takes place in the Netherlands, to strict internal quality standards. Every batch is independently tested for:
- Cannabinoid profile (CBD, CBG, CBC, CBN, THC)
- Heavy metals
- Pesticides and herbicides
- Microbiological contaminants
- Residual solvents

How do you use it?
Shake the bottle before use. Place the desired amount under your tongue and let it work for 60 to 90 seconds before swallowing. Start low, for example 2 to 3 drops a day, and build up in steps of a few days if you want. Taking it with a meal can aid absorption, because cannabinoids are fat-soluble. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
