What is this CBD oil for dogs good for?

There are no approved claims for CBD, not for animals either, so we may not promise what it does. What we can say: it is a CBD supplement put together specially for dogs. If you are unsure whether it is right for your animal, consult your vet.

How many drops do you give your dog?

With this 4% oil every drop delivers roughly 1.6 mg of CBD. The amount depends on your dog's weight; follow the instructions on the packaging and start low. You can give the drops over the food, on a treat or straight into the mouth.

What should you look out for?

If your dog is on medication or your animal is pregnant, ill or very young, consult the vet first. A supplement is no substitute for veterinary care. Store out of reach of children and animals.

Can I use this oil for both dogs and cats?

There are separate variants for dogs and cats, tuned to the species. When ordering, check whether you are choosing the dog or the cat variant, and follow the dosage for that species.

Flesje Dutch Hemp 4% CBD-olie voor honden met pipetdop, 10 ml

CBD oil for dogs

Dutch Hemp CBD oil isolate 4% dogs 10 ml 400 mg CBD

Q: Why a separate oil for dogs?

This oil is isolate-based and therefore completely THC-free. That matters, because THC is harmful to animals. The concentration is also lower than in an oil for people, tuned to the body weight of a pet.

This is the stronger dog oil: 4%, about 1.6 mg CBD per drop, so twice as much as the 2%. Handy for a larger dog or if you notice you keep needing more drops of the 2%. Many owners use it around stressful moments or with an ageing dog. We cannot promise what it will do for your dog.

Why a separate oil for dogs?

Like the 2%, this oil uses CBD isolate, more than 99% pure CBD without other plant compounds, so 0% THC. Dogs are more sensitive to THC than people, so that is deliberate. The carrier of hemp seed oil and salmon oil gives the flavour most dogs accept well.

How do you give it?

Put the drops over the food or on a snack. Because this oil is stronger, you need less of it: a commonly used rule of thumb with the 4% is one drop three times a day per 10 kilos of body weight. Start carefully and build up. With medication or a diagnosis, consult your vet first, because CBD can affect the breakdown of certain medicines.
