Not everyone likes the powerful, earthy taste of shilajit resin. These capsules offer the same pure shilajit, but pre-dosed and tasteless: no spoon, no measuring, just one capsule a day. From Shilafit, the Dutch brand from Amsterdam devoted entirely to shilajit. The pack contains 60 plant-based capsules, good for about two months.
What is Shilajit?
Shilajit, sometimes also called mumijo or asphaltum, is a dark, resinous substance that occurs naturally in the Himalayas and other high mountain ranges. It is formed by the centuries-long breakdown of plant material between the rock layers, and naturally contains fulvic acid, humic acid and more than 84 minerals. In traditional systems such as Ayurveda, shilajit has been used for centuries. No health claims have been approved for shilajit within the EU.
Capsules or resin?
The capsules contain a standardised shilajit extract with a fulvic acid content of 80%, combined with a broad spectrum of natural minerals. Each capsule contains 500 mg of extract, without binders or unnecessary additions. Handy if you would rather skip the naturally powerful taste of the resin or are often on the road. If you prefer the traditional form with a dosing spoon, the pure Shilajit resin remains available.
Quality and origin
For this supplement, only high-grade shilajit from the Himalayas is used, carefully purified and extracted after traditional harvesting. Shilajit comes directly from the rock, and can naturally contain heavy metals. Testing is therefore not a luxury but a necessity. Shilafit has every production batch checked in European accredited laboratories for purity, the exact fulvic acid content, the geographical origin and for safety, including heavy metals such as lead, mercury, cadmium and arsenic and microbiological contaminants. That is exactly the kind of testing you want to see with shilajit.
How do you use it?
Take 1 capsule daily with water, preferably with a meal. Do not exceed the recommended daily amount.
