What does this CBD oil do?

This is the most asked question about CBD, and precisely the question we may not answer. No health claims have been approved for CBD in the European Union. What we can tell you is what is in it, how you dose it and where it comes from. What you want from it is up to you.

How many drops do you take a day?

That differs per person. With this 2.5% oil each drop provides about 1 mg of CBD, and the 10 ml bottle holds around 250 drops. A usual approach is a few drops a day, spread over the day, and to build up calmly from there until you find what suits you. Stick to the instructions on the packaging as a guideline.

How long before you notice anything?

Because you hold the drops under your tongue for 60 to 90 seconds, they are absorbed through the mucous membrane of the mouth and not only through the digestive tract. That is faster than a capsule, for instance. How you experience it and over what period is personal, and we make no statement about that.

Full spectrum or broad spectrum, what is the difference?

This oil is full spectrum, Wedihemp's Raw line: the complete plant profile is preserved, including a trace of THC below 0.05%. If you want no THC at all, the broad spectrum variant makes more sense, the Pure line, which is made THC-free after extraction. Otherwise they are comparable.

What should you look out for?

CBD can influence how your body breaks down certain medicines. If you take medication, consult your doctor before using CBD. If you are pregnant or breastfeeding, do not use CBD. Keep the bottle out of reach of children.

This is Wedihemp’s gentlest oil and a logical starting point if you do not know CBD yet. At 2.5% you are at about 1 mg CBD per drop, so you can start low calmly and build up from there. The 10 ml bottle contains roughly 250 drops, enough to find out whether CBD is something for you without buying a large bottle straight away.

What does full spectrum mean?

Full spectrum means the full natural profile of the hemp plant is preserved. So alongside CBD there are other cannabinoids in it too, such as CBG, CBC and CBN, together with the plant’s terpenes and flavonoids. A minimal amount of THC remains, well below the legal limit of 0.05%. That interplay of plant compounds is sometimes called the entourage effect, although that is an assumption and not an established fact.

Where it comes from

Wedihemp was formerly called Medihemp and comes from Austria. The brand grows its hemp on its own land, some 400 hectares beside a lake in Austria, together with local farmers who work organically. The soil is free from pesticides and herbicides and the plants are EU-certified. The CBD is extracted using cold CO₂ extraction, without chemical solvents. Every batch is independently tested for cannabinoid profile, THC content, heavy metals, pesticides and microbiology, and you can request the test reports from us. Wedihemp has two oil ranges: Raw (full spectrum) and Pure (broad spectrum). This oil belongs to the Raw line.

How do you use it?

Shake the bottle briefly and place a few drops under your tongue with the pipette. Let them sit there for 60 to 90 seconds before swallowing, so they are absorbed through the lining of the mouth. With this 2.5% oil, every drop delivers about 1 mg CBD. Start with a few drops a day and build up calmly until you find what suits you. Store the bottle upright in a cool, dark place.
