This multivitamin is composed for the period in which you are breastfeeding, when the need for certain vitamins and minerals is higher. What makes it special is that the nutrients come from real food rather than being synthetic. One jar contains 60 capsules, two a day.
What is in it?
This is a wholefood multivitamin: the vitamins and minerals come from real foods, including algae, spinach, chickpeas and amla berries, rather than from synthetic sources. Because the ingredients remain in their natural form, they naturally contain accompanying co-nutrients such as enzymes and trace elements. Per daily dose of 2 capsules you get vitamin D3, C, E and K and the complete B complex with folic acid and B12, among others, supplemented with iron, zinc, magnesium, selenium, copper, iodine, chromium, beta-carotene and choline. The exact amounts are on the packaging.
Where it comes from
Together is a British brand we have carried for some time. It produces vegan in the United Kingdom and checks strictly for purity, heavy metals and pesticides. There are no artificial additives, the capsules are plant-based and the packaging is plastic-free and compostable.
How do you use it?
Take 2 capsules daily with a sip of water, ideally during or just after a meal with some healthy fats. That supports the absorption of the fat-soluble vitamins and is gentler on the stomach. Stick to the recommended daily amount. Use this supplement during the breastfeeding period in consultation with your midwife, GP or child health clinic.
